No luck

Hi All,

So we went to the Royal Alex to try to turn the baby and no luck. They did an ultrasound and it looked like the umbilical cord was too close to the baby's neck so it wouldn't be a good idea to screw around with that. Oh well, at least that means we know the baby will be born sooner rather than later. As far as I'm concerned, the further away from Christmas, the better. We have just a little over a week to go and then we will have a new little human being in our lives! Wow - pretty amazing.

Last night Eric and I went to see "Walk the Line" the Johnny Cash biopic movie. I think our baby is going to be a music lover because he/she started moving around like crazy once the music really started to rock in the movie, and wouldn't stop squirming and kicking through the whole thing (and the movie is mostly music). Eric said, he/she was "rocking out".

Come to think of it, the first time I felt the baby kick was at the Black Eyed Peas concert, hmmmm...

Countdown is on...

Well this is my first entry into our Baby Blog, so I thought I'd share the first baby picture (on the left).

I am at 37 1/2 weeks and our little munchkin has decided that he/she is not interested in hanging around upside down. In other words, our little one is breech (with the little bum facing down instead of the head). We are going to attempt to turn the baby tomorrow (which means a doctor basically pushes around on my stomach and tries to make the baby do a somersault). It's apparently "uncomfortable" to try this (which I believe is a euphemism for "hurts like hell"). Fun stuff - but it's worth a try. If that doesn't work, then we will be scheduling a caesarean.

Today we bought the cutest little hat for the baby. It says "Benevolent Dictator" on the front.
